I was blown away to learn about the incredible islands off the coast of Mersing, Johor – they rival some of the best in the world! Pulau Dayang is a perfect example. While still relatively unknown, its beauty is absolutely breathtaking.

Located 65km off the coast of Mersing, Pulau Dayang is a bit further out than Pulau Sibu and Pulau Tioman. The speedboat journey from Mersing Pier takes about 4 hours, but the reward is well worth it. The scenery and marine life here are comparable to, if not better than, Pulau Tioman. Its remote location has helped preserve its natural beauty, making it a tranquil haven. Expect vibrant coral reefs, encounters with angelfish, lionfish, and even schools of bumphead parrotfish.

If you're lucky, you might even spot dolphins!
